Unlike propaganda posters, this artist’s Western figures of ‘Oasis’ are surprisingly attractive.
It is lacking the American beaky nose and long lupine nails, and we can assume they are of European extraction. Still, these are cardboard cut-outs representing a decadent society, of no value or substance to anyone – even themselves.
Again this is a stark difference between DPRK values and how they see the rest of the world.

Lactogen; An advert for the Nestle infant formula ‘Lactogen’.
Part of this text is likely a spelling mistake (pre) pared in Australia. However, as Western characters are likely unrecognizable to the film audience just the Romanised style of lettering is sufficient to create the feeling of otherness.

Take a second look at this bizarre poster “NYLON”.
Used as a backdrop for films set in South Korea, this is decadence and sensuality at its most intense. Clad in a low-cut dress, the heavily made-up woman is touching her hair and talking on the phone.
Taken together this indicates, at best, a vacant brain and frivolous nature. Even more notably her right arm joins with her left leg, while her right leg is entirely separated from her body – quite unusual indeed…
