KTV Gives Us A Voice is part of The Beautiful Future collaboration between Nick Bonner of Koryo Studio, Dominic Johnson-Hill of Plastered 8, and a group of North Korean artists living in North Korea’s capital Pyongyang.

KTV Gives Us a Voice

Karaoke in North Korea is very popular. Almost everyone we know in North Korea sings and is happy for the excuse to burst into song. In this respect, ‘KTV gives us a voice’ certainly rings true.

The building’s interior fits in with some of those we have seen. For example, bead curtains, chandeliers, faux dazzle, and a sparkle that somehow does not look so good when the electricity is off.
