'Starting Work' series

North Korean Art

A commission in 2015-2016 by Koryo Studio with artist Kim Ik Hyon to produce a series of 5 linocuts based on typical jobs for young women. Koryo Studio discussed with 30 female high school students what jobs they believed contribute the most to North Korea (DPRK) society today. The series was exhibited as part of the show ‘Kunst uit Noord-Korea’ at Verbeelde Werkelijkheid Gallery, Oosterbeek, the Netherlands, May 2018.
